KidHub is operated under the KidHub name in Nepal. In this policy, “KidHub,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that operator. “Services” means the Kid Hub: Learning with Fun Android application (package com.letsgrowapp), the KidHub website, and the creator and administration systems we operate.
Scope
This policy applies when you use our Services, contact us, apply to become a content creator, or access an authorised KidHub account. It does not control third-party websites, app stores, or social networks that may be linked from our Services; those organisations publish their own policies.
The child-facing learning app and the adult-facing website and management systems have different data practices. We describe them separately below so parents, guardians, creators, and staff can see which statements apply to them.
Children's privacy
Our child-facing app is designed to minimise data collection
Children can use the current KidHub learning app without creating an account. We do not require a child to submit a name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or advertising identifier through the child-facing experience, and we do not use child information for behavioural advertising.
The creator and administration systems are intended for authorised adults, not children. A parent or guardian should submit any support request concerning a child. If we learn that we received a child's personal information without the authorisation required by applicable law, we will delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us to ask whether we hold information about their child and request its deletion.
We design our practices with applicable children's privacy rules in mind, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and protections for children under data-protection laws where they apply. We do not claim that KidHub is “COPPA certified.”
Information we handle
Public website enquiries
When an adult sends our contact form, we receive their first and last name, email address, optional phone number, and message. We use this information to respond and keep a record of the enquiry.
Creator applications
Applicants may provide contact details, date of birth, country, professional background, teaching experience, subject expertise, certificates, and other supporting documents for review and verification.
Creator and staff accounts
We handle names, email addresses, usernames, profile images, account roles, sign-in credentials or Google sign-in tokens, authentication tokens, and account activity needed to secure and administer access.
Content and moderation records
We handle creator submissions, uploaded files, version history, review decisions, reviewer remarks, content reports, notifications, and a record of relevant administrative actions.
Technical information
When a person uses our website, API, or restricted systems, our servers and hosting providers may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, request time, browser or device type, requested pages, error details, and security events. We use this information to deliver the service, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and protect accounts. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Services.
- Reply to support, privacy, partnership, and business enquiries.
- Create and authenticate authorised adult accounts and manage their permissions.
- Review creator identity, qualifications, suitability, and submitted educational content.
- Moderate content, investigate reports, send service notices, and keep an audit trail.
- Comply with law, enforce our rules, prevent fraud or misuse, and protect users and KidHub.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on steps requested before entering an agreement or performance of an agreement, consent where requested, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing KidHub. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Cookies and local storage
The public KidHub website does not use third-party advertising cookies. It may use limited browser storage to remember a preference during a browsing session. The restricted creator and administration systems use browser local storage to keep authentication tokens and basic signed-in account details so authorised users can remain signed in. Signing out removes the authentication information stored by our interface; users can also clear it through their browser settings.
Our hosting and security providers may use essential cookies or similar technology where necessary to route traffic, prevent abuse, or protect the Services. These technologies are not used by KidHub for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose described in this policy:
Contact enquiries
Until the enquiry is resolved and normally no longer than 24 months after the last correspondence.
Creator applications
For review, appeal, safeguarding, and fraud-prevention needs. Unsuccessful or withdrawn applications and supporting documents are normally removed or de-identified within 12 months of the final decision.
Accounts and content
While an account is active and afterward only as needed for deletion requests, disputes, security, legal obligations, or legitimate content and moderation records.
Security logs and backups
For a limited operational cycle, unless an incident or legal obligation requires a longer period. Deleted information may remain in protected backups until those backups rotate.
A verified deletion request removes or de-identifies the relevant personal information from active systems, unless we must retain a limited record for law, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or safeguarding. We will explain any applicable exception. Account suspension or deactivation is not treated as deletion.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect information. These include encrypted network connections, role-based access, authentication controls, restricted staff access, and service monitoring. No internet service can promise absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and contact us promptly if you believe an account or submission has been compromised.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a portable copy of your personal information; object to certain processing; or withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
To make a privacy or deletion request, email us using the button below. Include the email address connected to your enquiry or account and enough detail for us to identify the relevant record. For security, we may need to verify your identity or your authority to act for another person. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Submit a privacy requestInternational processing
KidHub is based in Nepal, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards and limit providers to processing information for the services they supply to us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our Services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised policy at this same public URL and update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where required.
